The Project.
Aisha is a young Tanzanian artisan living close to Dar Es Salaam. She has a great taste inspired by the colourful kanga and Kitenge of the costal culture of East Africa.
The idea came out of the creativity of Aisha Massare and the management expertise of Francesca Romana Rinaldi.
The two have met during a voluntary work camp at Uvikiuta center in Chamazi-Temeke in August 2011.
The products.
Aisha's creations are made in Tanzania with recycled pieces of
kitenge,
kanga and palm leaves. All products are handmade: for this reason they are very original and different one from each other.
Aisha's collections
The "Iconic" bags, pochette, earings, breacelets and other small accessories are made with a special selection of double coloured kitenge and kanga fabrics used by tanzanian women for clothing.
The "Colors of Tanzania" collection has a higher variety in terms of colours and patterns.
The "Wood" collection is the most fashionable and uses also recycled pieces of wood from forniture items.
